The youth ministry of Peru First Baptist Church is called LIFE Student Ministries.  We are a group of adults and young people dedicated to growing together as we follow Jesus.  Basically this means we try to experience life together with Jesus at the center.  We study the Bible together, eat together, hangout together, pray together, laugh together, etc.  Our program revolves around two main meetings - Wednesday night "Get-a-LIFE" for 6-8th grade students and Sunday night "NightLIFE" for high school students.  Both meetings involve a mix of age-appropriate Bible study and discussion, team/skill building games and social time. 

The "LIFE" name refers to an acronym that defines both the basic theology and goals of the ministry.  We believe that mature Christian faith can be described as - "Loving God with everything you have, with Integrity in life, Fully involved in the church, and Evangelizing in words and actions."  These four core areas of Christian life are reflected in the teaching and programing of the ministry.

Our youth pastor is Aaron Thompson (he's the tall one in the picture).  He has been serving at the church since 2007.  As a native of Peru, he has a passion for the city and it's young people.  And as an alumni of Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in youth ministry, he has a deep desire to see youth ministry done Biblically in the local church. 

Aaron is married, has two cats and a dog, loves blogging, biking, music, comic books, philosophy, and coffee.
